Valentine redesign

Hey wide web world,

We participated in a lovely little fun project, a redesign of valentines day. It has been posted on the Brand New website.

Check out all of the different components! V-day has a new logo, colour palette, and a few options for a new cupid (which was my part). My favourite parts are the new colour palette and the facebook application.

Art show projects

I’ve been taking a bit of a break from commercial illustration this year (well, unless a client asks nice, that is) and been working on developing a body of work for two upcoming art shows. Above are some of the results…

I’ll be showing this work at Artstream Gallery in New Hampshire (October) and McMullen Gallery in Edmonton (November). I’ll post some details when the dates get closer!

Uppercase Eye Candy

It’s impossible not to get buzzed about the constant visual yum coming from Uppercase Gallery. First off, Janine is starting a quarterly magazine. Additionally, she recently had opening for a softie show called s-t-i-t-c-h. All of it is lovely, but I particularly enjoy the Tracey Cameron owls and Lori Joy Smith ’soft’ illustrations.

Last but not least, it seems that this Jen11 project is getting lots of internet buzz. I hadn’t hear of it until today but from what I’ve gathered its a travelling show featuring eleven different Jennifers. Artstream will be showing it in June, Uppercase in June/July and Composition in Aug/Sept.

This gave me shivers! This is the work of Yulia Brodskaya, a graphic designer and illustrator who was born in Russia, and now works out of London.
