I am going to start 2009 off with a bit of inspiration for you. Time to get our creative brains hopping…
James Jean has added approximately 150 sketchbook images to his website. He isn’t doing illustration anymore, I think I read on his blog at one point that his focus will be commissions now. What a treat to look through the sketches and process of an artist in such detail!
I picked up How to be an Explorer of the World by Keri Smith over the holidays. Here is a taste of the book to get you started. I like the idea of creativity being compared to analysing things like a scientist.
I love simple DIY home projects. A fresh change of scenery, completed in an afternoon or so? That is my kind of commitment. This decoupage bird ceiling thing is really cool. Design Sponge has a whole section of great craft projects!
