holiday granola? I think so!
December 15, 2008
We put our elf hats on last week and made some woodward holiday treats! It was a great excuse to play around with new types of crafty packaging.
Homemade granola is a perfect holiday gift to share. Why? We give and receive so many sweet treats at this time of year, why not give the gift of breakfast instead? Go ahead! give my recipe a try:
ALL NATURAL CHRISTMAS GRANOLA
3 c. large flake oats
1 1/2 c. bran
1/2 c. oat bran
1 c. unsweetened coconut
1/2 c. whole almonds
1/2 c. sliced almonds
1/2 c. pumpkin seeds
1/2 c. sunflower seeds
pinch of salt
1/2 c. canola oil
1/4 c. honey
1/4 c. maple syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. dried cranberries
Mix together first eight ingredients in a large bowl. Whisk together oil, water, honey, maple syrup and vanilla. Combine with dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Spread mixture on two baking sheets, bake at 250ºF for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove when golden brown, cool and stir in dried fruit. Store up to 1 month.
