The process of a logo

December 3, 2008

Kristin finished a lovely logo last week for Cory Christopher Designs. I thought it might be nice to share some of our recent work and give you a glimpse into our process. Above is a quick snap of the card design that came back from the printer today.

Our process when creating logos involves initially presenting a series of different ideas. I have discovered over the years that some creatives present more than one idea, like us. Others firms feel its best to show one winning idea, the solution that solves the problem perfectly.

I really like presenting multiple ideas because it engages the client in the process. Collaboration is fun. We learn more about our what our clients do and our clients feel involved in this crucial part of their business.

Not to get too philosophical about this process, but I also feel that creative solutions are not black and white. Their are many ways to go, considerations and comfort levels. It is a world of gray,… which to me is a world of possibilities!

That is why we ask a million questions, muster up our experience and knowledge and present a series of ideas that could work for different distinct reasons. At the end of the day we hope that our clients enjoy this process of discover as much as we do.

Here are a few of Kristin’s other concepts, enjoy!
